Dubai’s real estate sector continued its strong growth in the first half of 2026, with around 104 projects valued at more than Dh100 billion, marking a 52% increase in project value compared with the same period last year. The developments added more than 24,000 new residential units to the market, reflecting growing investor confidence and the emirate’s continued expansion.
The strong performance highlights Dubai’s position as one of the leading real estate investment destinations in the world. Supported by modern infrastructure, a business-friendly environment and long-term development plans, the emirate continues to attract property buyers, investors and developers from different parts of the world.
The growth of the property sector is closely linked to Dubai’s long-term economic and urban development strategies, including the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040. These initiatives aim to strengthen the city’s global competitiveness, improve infrastructure and create sustainable communities that support both residents and businesses.
According to Dubai Land Department officials, the emirate’s real estate market recorded Dh917 billion in transactions across more than 270,000 transactions during 2025. The rental market also remained active, with over one million rental transactions valued at approximately Dh100 billion. These figures demonstrate the importance of property investment and rental demand in Dubai’s wider economy.
Technology is also playing an increasingly important role in the sector. Dubai is introducing artificial intelligence-powered services to make property transactions faster and more efficient. A new initial sale contract initiative allows developers and investors to obtain initial contracts within minutes, helping reduce paperwork and simplify procedures.
The emirate is also working to make property ownership more accessible. Its First-Time Home Buyer initiative has supported more than 3,200 buyers during its first year, with transactions valued at Dh5 billion. Eligible participants can benefit from preferential prices and tailored payment plans offered by participating developers and banks.
Dubai is further strengthening its international investment appeal through planned investor roadshows and engagement with global markets, including India and the United States. These efforts are intended to attract new capital, encourage partnerships and create additional opportunities for real estate investors.
With new projects entering the market, digital services improving and homeownership initiatives expanding, Dubai’s property sector continues to evolve. The growth recorded in the first half of 2026 highlights the emirate’s ongoing development and its ambition to remain a leading destination for residential living and long-term real estate investment.
