Aldar Properties has delivered an impressive financial performance for the first half of 2026, reporting a net profit of AED 4.9 billion. The strong results highlight the developer’s resilience and long-term growth strategy, supported by a substantial project backlog, healthy recurring income, and continued investor confidence in Abu Dhabi’s real estate market.
The company’s revenue reached AED 16.8 billion during the first six months of the year, reflecting steady growth driven by the recognition of development revenues from ongoing projects. Strong operational performance across both its development and investment businesses also contributed to higher profitability and improved earnings.
One of the key highlights of Aldar’s financial results is its development backlog, which has grown to AED 71.6 billion. This significant pipeline provides strong revenue visibility over the next two to three years, reinforcing the company’s ability to maintain stable growth while delivering major residential and mixed-use communities across the UAE.
Although development sales were lower than the previous year due to a more measured launch strategy, international demand remained exceptionally strong. Overseas and expatriate buyers accounted for a large share of UAE property sales, demonstrating continued confidence in Abu Dhabi as a global destination for real estate investment and high-quality living.
Aldar’s international operations also recorded remarkable progress. Its businesses in Egypt and the United Kingdom achieved strong sales growth, helping diversify revenue streams and strengthen the company’s position beyond the UAE. This international expansion continues to support Aldar’s long-term business strategy while reducing reliance on a single market.
The investment portfolio remained another major contributor to earnings. High occupancy rates across commercial, residential, retail, and logistics assets generated stable recurring income. Continuous asset acquisitions and the expansion of its develop-to-hold portfolio are expected to further strengthen future cash flows.
Looking ahead, Aldar remains well-positioned to capitalize on Abu Dhabi’s ongoing economic growth and increasing demand for premium real estate. With a healthy financial position, a strong development pipeline, and consistent investment activity, the company is expected to continue delivering sustainable growth while supporting the emirate’s evolving property landscape.
The latest financial results reaffirm Aldar’s status as one of the UAE’s leading real estate developers. Its balanced business model, diversified portfolio, and disciplined project execution continue to create long-term value for investors, homeowners, and stakeholders while contributing to the continued growth of Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector.
