Emirati women are playing an increasingly important role in Sharjah’s real estate market, with female investors recording Dh2.7 billion in property investments during the first eight months of 2026. According to data from the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, the investments covered 3,385 traded properties acquired by 3,737 Emirati women.
The latest figures highlight the growing confidence of Emirati women in Sharjah’s property sector and their expanding contribution to the emirate’s wider economic development. The data was released in connection with Emirati Women’s Day and reflects the increasing participation of women in building long-term and sustainable assets through real estate investment.
Compared with the same period in 2025, all major indicators showed positive growth. The number of properties traded by Emirati women increased from 3,322 to 3,385, representing a 1.9 per cent rise. The number of property owners also grew from 3,586 to 3,737, marking a 4.2 per cent increase. Meanwhile, the total value of transactions rose from Dh2.6 billion to Dh2.7 billion, representing 1.2 per cent growth year-on-year.
The growth demonstrates that Emirati women are becoming increasingly active participants in Sharjah’s real estate market. Property ownership provides investors with opportunities to build sustainable wealth while also benefiting from the emirate’s growing infrastructure, economic activity and evolving property environment.
Sharjah’s real estate sector has continued to attract attention from investors because of its residential communities, commercial developments and broader economic expansion. The rising participation of Emirati women further strengthens the market by bringing more local investors into the property sector and supporting long-term demand.
Officials from the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department highlighted the achievements of Emirati women across different sectors and linked their growing real estate participation to the UAE’s National Strategy for Empowerment of Emirati Women 2023–2031. The strategy aims to strengthen women’s role in sustainable development and economic growth.
The latest investment figures therefore represent more than just property transactions. They reflect the growing financial awareness and investment confidence of Emirati women, as well as their role in shaping Sharjah’s future real estate landscape.
With continued economic development and increasing opportunities across the emirate, women are expected to remain an important force in Sharjah’s property market. Their growing involvement could contribute to stronger demand, greater diversification among property investors and continued development of the emirate’s real estate sector.
