Dubai Real Estate Sector to Create Over 400 New Job Opportunities for Emiratis

Dubai’s real estate sector is opening new career opportunities for UAE nationals, with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) targeting more than 400 additional employment opportunities through its latest initiative. The move aims to strengthen Emirati participation in the property industry and provide young professionals with better career opportunities in one of Dubai’s fastest-growing economic sectors.

The initiative was announced during the fourth edition of the Real Estate Day for Emirati Employment, held at Address Sky View Hotel in Dubai on October 29, 2026. The event brought together more than 80 real estate companies, giving university students, graduates, and jobseekers an opportunity to connect directly with employers, explore available positions, and understand the requirements of different roles. Candidates also had the opportunity to participate in on-the-spot interviews.

This latest initiative builds on the achievements of the Dubai Land Department’s Real Estate Empowerment Programme, which helped create more than 2,100 employment opportunities for Emiratis between 2023 and 2026. The programme was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai.

The initiative focuses on more than simply creating jobs. It also aims to develop professional skills, improve access to training, and establish long-term career pathways for Emiratis within the property sector. By bringing together government institutions, educational organisations, and private real estate companies, Dubai is working to prepare national talent for different roles and responsibilities across the industry.

The growing demand for skilled professionals is also supported by the strong performance of Dubai’s property market. During the first half of 2026, the total value of Dubai’s real estate sector increased by 52 per cent compared with the same period last year, reaching Dh111 billion. The emirate also completed 104 property projects in 2026, representing a 38.7 per cent increase compared with 2025.

Furthermore, Dubai’s real estate sector recorded 3.1 per cent year-on-year growth in the first quarter of 2026, generating approximately Dh26 billion in gross value added. The sector contributed 11.2 per cent to Dubai’s overall GDP during the same period, highlighting its growing importance to the emirate’s economy.

With continued market expansion, new development projects, and increasing participation from property companies, Dubai is strengthening its position as a major real estate destination. The latest employment initiative reflects the government’s commitment to developing local talent while supporting the long-term growth and competitiveness of the property industry.
