UAE Real Estate Sector Records AED252 Billion in Transactions in Q1 2026

The UAE real estate sector started 2026 with record-breaking performance, as property transactions across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman reached AED252 billion ($68.7 billion) during the first quarter. The figure represents a 31% increase compared with the same period in 2025, highlighting strong investor confidence and continued demand across the country’s property markets.

Dubai remained the leading contributor to the UAE’s real estate activity. The emirate recorded AED252 billion in transactions across 60,303 deals, with transaction value rising significantly year-on-year. Investment activity also remained strong, supported by both local and international investors and continued demand for residential and luxury properties.

Abu Dhabi also delivered exceptional growth during the quarter. The emirate recorded AED66 billion ($17.97 billion) in real estate transactions, representing a 160.7% year-on-year increase. Strong residential demand, rising foreign investment and activity in major areas such as Saadiyat Island, Reem Island and Hudayriyat Island contributed to the market’s performance.

Sharjah and Ajman also recorded positive results, demonstrating that UAE property growth is extending beyond the country’s two largest markets. Ajman’s first-quarter transaction value reached AED6.22 billion, marking a 12% increase from the same period last year.

The strong Q1 performance highlights the UAE’s position as a major global real estate destination. Continued infrastructure development, international investment, regulatory improvements and demand for high-quality residential properties are supporting market activity. With Dubai and Abu Dhabi continuing to attract investors from around the world, the UAE property sector is expected to remain an important driver of economic growth throughout 2026.
